Ganesha Consciousness: The Spiritual Aspect

Many of us do believe in the existence of energy in us, in the form of soul, mind or consciousness. We now know that we are not just body but there is an energy aspect of us beyond the usual existence. This universe has everything and everything is governed by laws of nature. These laws are the foundation of human evolution and we cannot even move a step ahead without them. This aspect is best embodied by the law of gravity. No matter we acknowledge this law or not but it is still applicable on us all the time and governs our lives on the planet Earth.

Similarly, the law of vibration is one of the laws of nature that uniquely steeped in different levels in everything around us. It states that everything has a vibration; and this vibration is regulated by thoughts, virtues, properties and even flaws. All the vibrations are growing at their own pace. Some are at lower level, some are at medium and some are at the higher levels on their path of evolution. Just for our own understanding we can classify these vibrations in six categories:

(i) Rocks, minerals (ii) Vegetation, plants & trees (iii) Animals (iv) Human beings (v) Ordinary Spirits (vi) Evolved souls

Now in these six categories, you can clearly see that with each stage energy gets a virtue of speed and movement.

When energy was in the form of rocks, it was static but when it grew and took form of vegetation, it could move a bit and in the form of animals the movement got more dynamic. In humans, thoughts, emotions and power of imagination set the energy in more pace. After death, spirit becomes so active that a human eye cannot even see it.

Now think about evolved souls and movement of energy in them, the power of energy in them, their thoughts, their emotions and their influence of imagination. Only thinking about this will open up the windows of your mind.

Think about the spiritual intelligence of these evolved souls, they are at the higher stages of their evolution and certainly hold more wisdom. It is believed by Theosophists that there are millions of devas (evolved souls) living inside the Sun, the indwelling solar deity of which Theosophists call the Solar Logos—these devas are called ascended masters, angels, or sometimes archetypes or solar spirits. Sometimes, it is believed, they visit Earth and can be observed, like other devas, by humans whose third eyes have been blossomed.

In all religions and traditions, these archetypes are acknowledged and known by different names and virtues. They hold their own consciousness and mostly work on human  journey of evolution. There are many or perhaps infinite higher consciousnesses who are assisting and supporting other realms.

Today, I chose Ganesha consciousness to discuss here. I always see these evolved souls beyond their physical appearances as such enormous energy cannot be hold by one physical form.

  1. The consciousness of purity:

‘Ga’ symbolizes Buddhi (intellect) and ‘Na’ symbolizes Vijnana (wisdom). Ganesha is thus considered the master of intellect and wisdom. Only by thinking about Ganesha, the first vibration you receive is of calmness, balance and purity. His atman is pure like a mirror. Perhaps he has inherited this innocence from his father.

  1. The inner transformation:

Ganesha reminds us about the inner transformation by the role he played on planet Earth. He was created by her mother’s mud bathing paste from her body. She breathed life in him and claimed he was her first son. A woman, who transformed herself from ordinary woman to Aadishakti, just for her love for his man, now had created a son with the same intensity of love. An energy who had already gone through such tremendous inner transformation created another energy from her own physical and spiritual vibrations. Naturally, Ganesha was bound to emerge as a symbol of inner transformation. A being who possesses such a capability of inner transformation can only  bear a great external transformation such as of head transplant and carry another animal’s head over a human body all his life and forever.

  1. Remover of Ignorance:

Ganesha is popularly known as the remover of obstacles “Vighnaharta”.People scream and shout the bhajanas, aartis, worship and then visarajana (dispose off) Ganesha but never tries to think and ask themselves “why” we do this and “what” will happen to do this year after year. This is the real “Vighna” (Obstacle). The real obstacle is ignorance and Ganesha consciousness is confident, clear and strong enough to clear ignorance and providing higher truths. Only if you connect to the inner Ganesha, not the external idols and grand silly shows.

4. Inner Ganesha:

All the higher consciousnesses have two positions just like a mirror; one image is inside the mirror and one being is outside the mirror. Your focus is external when you worship an idol and you reach nowhere. No higher consciousness wants you to worship them, only lower vibrations can carry such desires. Each higher being wants you to go inward and activate the same virtues inside you. Your inner Ganesha energy resides in your muladhara (Root Chakra) that is the foundation of your life. The Ganapati Atharvashirsa also mentions a verse: “O Ganesha! You reside at the base of the spine”. When you meditate, all inner virtues naturally begin to bloom and Ganesha virtue is one of them.

  1. Balance of Shiva and Shakti:

When two higher energies meet, the little imbalance is natural. Parvati created Ganesha means she activated her Muladhara, the adhar(base) of her worldly life to ground Shiva’s energy in prakriti (nature). Ganesha personifies life, life after death, duality, manifestation, pleasures, wisdom and forgiveness in diverse aspects.

Ganesha consciousness was there, is there and will be there as it is supportive to the universal evolution. Some people will go on worshiping the idols and some will go on their own path inward. These higher energies are also governed by the law of free will hence never stop you if you wish to remain in ignorance and will always support you if you wish to rise above ignorance and attain higher truths about self.

Dear Romshri, it’s a beautiful write up, very simple language. We as humans go to various places to find God and in front of the idols try and find solace but we forget our own inner self. This write up is an eye opener in real terms to find true bliss and look inward.. Thank you so much.. Bless you
