Navratri: An opportunity for transformation

Do you know each night offers you an opportunity to have a great inner transformation and self-realization. Then why conscious seekers take Navratri most importantly to deepen their meditation. I am not talking about so called worshipers ( can not be called “devotees” even) who pluck flowers, burn incenses and sing/scream prayers to Goddess and show their devotion by flooding others with whatsapp messages.

I am talking about the travelers on inner path who live a life to seek truth. Such sadhakas or inner travelers are conscious and more sensitive about the universe and its ways.

The year’s most important navaratris (Nava- nine, Ratris- nights) mark the start of the spring and of autumn seasons, and highlight the year’s two equinoxes as well.

If you are a lover of life, you would want to know every detail about it, cherish it and immerse in it. Did you ever observe moon during these nine nights?

Over the course of those nine nights, you will see that the moon waxes in visibility, light, and clarity. Each night you will see a different moon. Moon is basically a female (yin) energy of universe and it inspires the seeker to go deep within each time. This is a time of great transformation so you become as clear as moon.

This is the time that your mind, body and spirit come effortlessly in alignment so you taste the inner silence more deeply during these nights. These nights are high vibrational and you will experience a great deal of stimulation in your root chakra being the seat of shakti. This stimulation will not disturb you but it will support you to sit in deep meditations for longer hours. You will experience the effortlessness of intense focus during your meditations. It is natural, no doer-ship is needed.

The change requires a great amount of energy to occur. Your body and mind needs energy to go through this tremendous purification and this is why you tend to eat less and light so energy can be used in Sadhana and not in food-digestion only.

The nature is Creator’s greatest showcase. The rhythm of the universe follows our inner energy and vice-versa. Nature teaches us how to be perfectly balanced and an uninterrupted energetic flow.

The heart beat of universe is little louder on some days and nights and we are here. Universe repeats its pattern eternally just like a benevolent teacher or parent. That is why I have always been seeing universe as a mother. It bears our hibernation, naps, inertia and sleep walk which we mistakenly call “life”.

She keeps on offering such shimmering opportunities to us so we wake up and rise eventually.

Human has this immense potential to awaken to the mystery of being here and enter the majestic stillness of own presence. Reverence of mother Goddess does not mean plucking her flowers and throwing on statues. Are flowers are not the children of Mother Nature? It is like killing the babies of a mother thinking you are worshiping her. How insane it is!

Spirituality makes you more sensitive about nature and self. Being sensitive does not means becoming slave of lower emotions but being more aware of everything inside and out.

This is a beautiful chance to respond to the call of your gift and find the courage to follow its path. It is a time to know your breath fully, make your senses your temple, keep your presence aflame with your heart’s warmth and receive the great encouragement from Mother Nature to lead your self to self.

It ignites you to bring yourself into accord with the nature and its truth. If you weren’t chosen for truth, you would not be here in the first place.

Once you realize that entire universe is supporting you to enjoy your own presence more deeply and has been designed in such a miraculous way so that you stay inspired every moment, then life ceases to be a task or goal.

It becomes natural, simple, in itself a clear ecstasy as Navrati’s moon.
